For me, finding that same clarity didn’t happen overnight. It took frustration, reflection and one pivotal moment that changed the trajectory of everything I’ve done since.


How I Found My Why

A few years ago, I picked up a copy of Start With Why by Simon Sinek and it stopped me in my tracks. Not because I didn’t know what I did, or how I did it… but because I realised, I had never properly articulated why I do it.


And that’s a problem because as Sinek reminds us, “people don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it.”


So I sat with that question: Why do I do what I do?


I wasn’t interested in writing clever marketing copy. I wanted to uncover the real reason behind my work, the throughline behind my years in franchising, the PhD research I committed to, the book I wrote, the coaching I deliver, and the tools I continue to build.


That exploration led me to this:

That’s my why. And once I found it, everything changed. It became the filter for what I say yes to. It’s the energy behind the Five Magic F’s.
